The articulation of nonsense is the recognition of an anxious contradictory place between the human and the not-human, between sense and non-sense. In that sense, these 'senseless' signifiers pose the question of cultural choice in terms similar to the Lacanian vel, between being and meaning, between the subject and the other, 'neither the one nor the other'.
